Books or Toys... DECISIONS

Money situation is hardly good but it has improved very much. If I work full time, I can just about cover the bills more or less, but alas, I can only work part time while school is in session. But since things are comparatively so much better, occasionally I allow myself to indulge in mini splurges. Sometimes I eat lunch at the diner across the street if it's too cold to walk elsewhere, or maybe I'll buy snacks more regularly, or maybe I will visit Book Off or Amazon once in a while.

So it was food or books that I spent my non-expendable expendable income on, and both I found easily justifiable. However, ever since Grr bought me one of the newer My Little Ponies, I have felt myself drool and yearn like a 6 year old. They have them in McDonalds Happy Meals now! I have fought and fought every impulse to fill my house with ponies like when I was a child. (I still have all of them, too, so adding more...) But darnit! I tried to say, "Oh, they're not so bad but... I'll just collect the rest of the originals one day... don't need to get new ones...," but NOOOOOO!! Grr suprised me with a pretty pony and I CAVED! I caved like a, like a... like a thing that caves very adamantly! Three more he got me for Valentine's day.

So what does this all mean? It means, "CURSE YOU, NOSTALGIA!" and it also means, "CURSE YOU, SALES FOR 50% OFF!"

This is completely justifiable! I will keep telling myself this. They wanted to come home with me, they did. All 6 of them.

I know I'm not the only one here who's fond of Sakamoto Maaya's music, so here's a question that maybe someone, somewhere knows the answer to: did she or did she not sing a song called "Teens." I've got an mp3; I've seen other people say they have this mp3; it sounds like her; it's in the right style; I'd swear it was her, but no where on the web can I find confirmation or lyrics. It's driving me crazy.

Naruto ramblings:
So they've aged 2.5 years. I don't know how I feel about this yet since I was rather looking forward to watching them grow up. Aging the characters opens the door for the possibility of darker storylines, should he choose to do so. Naruto's got a new, more stylish outfit and lost some of his cute baby fat. Sakura has donned hooker boots. I wonder what this means for Sasuke when he finally shows up again. Maybe he'll have hooker boots too.
