So Tanemura Arina has started up her new series now that Full Moon wo Sagashite has ended. I love her stuff and it's always been good about hitting my het buttons. Now she has added a pinch of the one main thing that could have hit the other button. Witness the last two pages of chapter 1 and the first color page of chapter 2: here, here, and here. I don't think she'll stick to it, but I'm pleased that it's a step in the right direction. I hope the scans are readable - it's a new scanner and I haven't worked out the settings yet.

Tanemura-sensei is pretty cute.

In Aishiteru ze Baby news, Yuzuyu is going to need lots and lots of therapy. She's only 5 and she's already messed up.

I was waiting for the light to change on the corner of 23rd st across from the flatiron building when a pair of young guys walked into the crowd chatting amiably to each other. I am usually completely oblivious to my surroundings, so the fact that I noticed them at all wriggled uncomfortably at my brain. I watched them for a moment as they waited and I began to realize that one of them seemed oddly familiar, but I just couldn't place him. I turned my attention back to the little flashing orange hand across the street when it struck me! He reminded me of Shuuichi from Gravitation! Why? Because he was dressed like a plantain. No really.

I KNEW he reminded me of someone.

And only in NY, only in NY. *sighs contentedly*
