Doesn't Sei-chan look all evil and suave?
The original sadistic fondler of young bishounen uke boys.
Fuuma has that title now Hehe... his trenchcoat is blowing...
Subaru-kun should be blowing other things... *cough* Stop waving that sword around, Kamui,
or someone's going to lose an eye... This is a blob.
He is googly, squishy, and cute.
He is also useless and green.
It's not easy being green.

If I were a video game character I would be Kong.
"Strong and passionate,
I tend to be misunderstood,
sometimes even feared.
I don't want to fight,
I don't want to cause trouble,
all I ask is a little love,
and a little peace.
If I don't get what I want,
I get angry,
and throw barrels
and flaming oil
at whatever's stopping me."

I *heart* GetBackers!

(ep 37) I think I have overdosed on cute. Natsumi makes the most adorable retrieval agent with Ban's fluffy shirt, trademark purple glasses, and Ginji's poofy shorts.

(ep38) You! You know who you are. You who didn't mention the creepy man WITH CREEPY SPIDERS! Or, as Shido called him, 'that spider punk' (after the fact, of course, let's not warn me or anything). *shivers and sweats* I'm going to have nightmares. Is he a new recurring villian? *frets* I'm not sure since I left the rest of the episode to audio only - the spiders... *meep*

(3rd ed) ... What kind of psychadelic South Park drugs were they on when they animated that? They have to lay off the LSD.

For Len-chan, to cheer her: wet & tattered Rikuou from the August Asuka. It seems to be a companion to the wet & tattered Kazahaya pic.

The hippo and the manatee I brought home from Florida need names. I'm mostly looking for something cutesy like Squishey or Pudgey (which are already taken by my Squid and my Penguin) but if they inspire anything I'm looking for all suggestions. Steve wanted to name the manatee 'Hugh' but I'm not naming him a silly pun, nor am I naming Hippo 'Hungry Hungry Hippo' so Steve can call him 'Triple H' for short.

*Here's hippo.
*And Manatee.
*Here's the Manatee looking, quoth Steve, 'all kinds of cute.'
*And finally, the Manatee wearing Eeyore ears and looking, quoting Steve again, 'impossibly cute.'

For those of you looking for a con report, I really just don't feel like talking about my trip. I did have a lot of fun both at the con and at the parks, so it's not like I had a horrible time. Just tired. Steve is writing up detailed trip reports for the Disney boards - down to the minute when he can. It amazes me the way he remembers things so precisely. I tend to just remember things as a blur of general emotion. I'll put up the pictures once I get to money to get them developed (cash is nonexistant at this time). One of the rolls may have been fried by the security scans though. Blah.

Q sent me some Japanese shounen-ai computer games because she is an evil yaoi pimp. Evil, I tell you! I started playing one called Silver Chaos. It's so cliche, but I am enjoying it immensely if only for the novelty of it. There's one character who manages to fill both the furry quota, and the shota quota. I would give you a summary of the story so far, but it would be on crack so I'll spare you. I will give you a screenshot of the best still so far in the game where the main character, Maito, is getting 'punished' by Hector. Though I really don't have any idea why. It seems to have something to do with how Maito's best friend Adonis performed some black magic to sell his soul to the long-sealed great Demon King Herbis to save Maito's life resulting in Adonis getting himself abducted and possessed by the demon king. But Hector might just be punishing him because he feels like it. I have very limited comprehension. Yeah, and you want to skip that pic if you're not into that kind of thing.

Back. Recovering. Got blisters on top of blisters (quite nasty, really) and I now hobble comically rather than walk. Trip report later, after I nap for a week and eat a lot of much-missed NY pizza.

Chrissy will be amused to hear that I bought a stuffed moose while I was there. Steve said, "You're the only person I know who would go to a Harry Potter convention AND DisneyWorld and buy a stuffed moose." Which parallels what Chrissy said last year, "You're the only person I know who would go to Shoujocon and buy a stuffed moose." What can I say? I'm predictable. And for the record, I didn't just buy a moose. I also bought a big stuffed manatee and a hippo. Steve bought a Figment dragon, a (bit bigger than) lifesized Scabbers, and won me a prehistoric lizard. We like fuzzy huggable things.

I was just clearing out my backpack so I could toss stuff in it as a last minute carry on bag. Those of you who know me know that I do not go anywhere without it. It always weighs a ton because it's got god-knows-what in it, and it is also a bottomless pit. Stuff goes in - tons of stuff goes in - they never come out. People marvel at what I fit in there. I emptied out my big suitcase before which had not been used since I went to the Galapagos in 2000 And despite all the interesting things I found in there (I'm terrible; I never unpack) it was nothing compared to my backpack. I found my boarding passes from when I went to visit Kelly three years ago, and I also found my travel information and copies of my hotel reservation from my first Shoujocon two years ago. You would think I would have come across these things before considering I use this bag every single day. I also found my old flashlight, 4 packs of hair ties, rolls of film (used and unused) and multiple questionable substances (might have been an old candy cane melted and smushed into a cheese doodle, who knows). Fascinating. I will never top Kelly's moldy orange. The environment in my bag is too hostile for mold.

Last minute posting before I leave for Nimbus 2003 in the morning (will not be back until the 24th)

Len-chan!! Your letter came!! My mom brought it to me during dance class. I got to read the post cards (distracted me during dance, I tell you ^_^) but I didn't get to read the letter yet. I'm going to read it on the plane in the morning. You wrote so much! I don't think I've ever been more excited to receive mail. I'll write you back as soon as possible. *is happy happy*

Q, the Hana to Yume you sent me arrived also. Good day for mail from people all over, it seems ^_^.

Whee whee happy happy. Off I go~

EWWWW eww eww ewwwwwww~!

We are infested with termites.

Swarmers are congregating by the computer screen bonking all over the place and zapping themselves in the light fixtures. The noice is incessant and I believe it is driving me mad.

I found the missing layouts. They were zipped when they shouldn't have been.

Things are going well overall, lifewise. I'm taking dance classes Mon-Wed this summer and have a bunch of friends coming along for the ride. This fall I'm planning to take four classes. Yeah, it's a lot of traveling to and from, but in the end it's very worth it. I may never be able to do the 12 hours a week I used to do when I was still pre-pubescent, but hour by hour I'm inching closer so it almost feels right.

Erg. I'm annoyed. Very annoyed. A couple of months ago I put up two different Gouhou Drug layouts, and now they've gone AWOL. They weren't up very long because they weren't anything special, but I like to have at least a screenshot for nostalgia purposes. I distinctly remember making sure I had copies of them before I deleted them off my account. I remember this. I remember checking. However, now I can't find them anywhere.

Ah, Len-chan, te deseo preguntar: ¿puedes recomendar algunos buenos libros en español? Es necesario que practico. (Obviamente. Mi gramática es terrible -_-;;) Pero algo que no es muy difícil. ¿El libro te menciona en tu blog no muy difícil? Leo mucho mejor que escribo o hablo. Mucho. ^^;;

Envíeme un(a?) e-mail o un IM si la vida está triste y necesitas hablar con una amiga. ^_^ *hugs*

I wonder how Boku no Sekuhara managed to get licensed. I've seen it more than once, but I don't even know if I ever saw it subbed. I might have, it's just that each time I've seen it I've been bordering on delirious. I suppose the fact that I can't even remember if there were subs says something ^^;;

I've also heard that DNAngel got licensed. I assumed that meant the anime, but now that I think about it I'm not sure it's not the manga. If someone finds out before me, let me know.

Update: it's the anime by ADV.

Swiped from Len-chan who swiped it from Hissori ad nauseam:

--

Who is your oldest online friend?
J-Rod Pimp Daddy. It's been, what, eight or nine years now? Dude. Double check my math, would you?

Who is your newest online friend?
Len-chan ^_^

Do you write your own HTML or use an editor? Which editor?
I write it all by hand. Editors mess with my code and don't do what I tell them. Things usually get violent. I use notepad and a nifty html prog called, ironically, Arachnophilia, which just colorizes my code making it easier to debug.

What's on your computer desk, apart from the PC?
Ha! My computer? About 50 volumes of manga. This computer (Steve's): several software boxes, bunch of CDs, stack of bills, an empty 2 liter bottle of coke, 2 decks of cards, a bag of cookies, a graphing calculator, 2 brushes, 2 unwashed cups, random pens, a container of Ovaltine, and a plate of Steve's leftover Chinese food from 2 nights ago. Oh, and a nailclipper. And a hairtie.. oh, and some Benadryl, and a 12 inch Jar Jar action figure. We'll pretend we didn't see that. ^_~

How many e-mail adresses do you have?
3 and a half. 1 for mailing lists, 1 for general consumption, and an alternate. The half is my yahoo.com one which I usually forget I even have.

How many hours a day do you spend online?
You're asking a person who has no sense of time. Too many than should be allowed.

If you use a graphics program, which ones do you use?
Photoshop <3. I have used Photoshop for as long as I've ever had a computer with color capabilities. On Baby Mac I use MacPaint.

How many e-mails do you get a day?
50 or 60 spam; 50-70 mailing list digests/forum post notifications; from people I know, about 4 a week. I use instant messaging instead.

Which instant messenger do you use?
AIM

Which is your favorite computer game?
For now I'm going to say the various Monkey Islands.

What's your favorite computer add-on e.g. webcam?
The scanner. Big surprise.

When did you first get online?
1995 I think.

How long have you been into anime/manga?
I became aware of it vaguely around 1996/97. By 1999 I was no longer a passive fan.

What is your favorite anime?
Princess Tutu. Subject to change ^_~

What is your favorite manga?
Fruits Basket!! ::chants Furuba!Furuba!::

Who is your favorite male character?
At the moment I'm going through a bit of Fakia-lust. (Princess Tutu)

Who is your favorite female character?
Usagi (Sailor Moon)

If you do buy doujinshi, how many do you have?
I have 9.

Do you go to any conventions?
This will be my third year in a row at Shoujocon. Also going to Nimbus.

If you cosplay, who have you cosplayed as or who are you planning to?
I don't cosplay because I can't sew, and I can't afford to pay someone else to sew for me. I might go as Ceres from Ayashi no Ceres since I have the hair.

How many Japanese manga do you own?
649. You would too if you had access to a used bookstore that sells manga for a dollar. I have 94 magazines; 95 after I pick up this month's Ribon. No, I haven't read them all ^^;; An incomplete list (since it's dated about a month ago) is here.

How many American manga do you own?
About 15. Mostly from before I discovered the local bookstores.

How many anime DVDs do you own?
Hmm... 11 I think.

Manga or anime?
Manga ^^;

Shounen or shoujo?
Shoujo. I can count the number of shounen stories I follow on one hand.

Do you like hentai?
I like het pairings aimed at girls. Hentai doesn't fit that definition though, so I'd say no. *waits to be amused by new google queries she will get in her referrals regarding the word 'hentai'.*

I pulled something in my neck this morning as I woke up and stretched. It's all stiff now and I can't turn it to the left without a lot of pain. Blah.

I was feeling goofy and so took really bad webcam pics of myself with my big stuffed moose, Moosie, and my stuffed squid, Squishey. Be awed by their plushie cuteness and Moosie's sheer mass. Everyone should have a 3.5 foot tall moose.

*continues watching Kodomo no Omocha* It's been pretty angsty lately. Fuuka is not winning any points with me.

I'm about to start packing for my trip which is about 2 weeks from now. Certain members of my party don't agree that I need to pack 2 weeks early or need to get to the airport at least 2-3 hours early. I have A System. Do not mess with my system. It works and everything goes smoothly and stress free so I can comfortably snooze away the wait time. More often than not I travel alone so it's a bit weird to be coordinating the schedules of 5 other people especially when I'm the only one who is ever ever punctual.

*stresses*
