If the ads from tripod are overwhelming your visit to the blog, everything is mirrored over at my livejournal: www.livejournal.com/users/usa_p/" I keep both because this one has the layout and the ability for me to search my old posts easily. The LJ is where most people read me now.
I'm afraid to check to see if I even posted in July. I've been so so busy, but I finally have a lot of good news to report. I have a real job now which I start on Monday. I'm a little nervous though because I am a mortgage loan processor who knows absolutely nothing about economics or real estate. It's a matter of jumping in head first and staying afloat. This is all thanks to my dear friend who is also starting a new job. When she mentioned she was quitting this one, I asked, "Can I have it?" I was only half-serious, since I wasn't even sure what she DID, but I am ever thankful that she pulled strings for me. Starting salary part-time is already double what I was making, so that makes things a little easier.
Mom got me a spiffy new laptop which is partially in the mail as we speak. I tacked on a 250 GB external hard drive to the order and mmmm toys. However, I would like to thank my mailman for tossing it visibly out on the front steps and NOT EVEN BOTHERING TO RING THE DOORBELL. Thank you SO much, and don't think I don't know you don't like me. You've been conspiring to keep my packages from me from DAY ONE! (I think I might not have told that story...)
The past three episodes of Full Metal Alchemist have been absolutely incredible. I prostrate myself at the feet of the creators. This series is so awesome! SL0RE SL0RE SL0RE! Fruits Basket has been interesting too, although it's paling against FMA's need to be seme. Yuki's maturing so much, and the incident with Akito marks a very distinctive turning point, I think.
I haven't had time to read Ribon lately, althought I still have a subscription. If I don't read it soon, I'll forget how to read it at all. Tanemura's new series consists of two characters that look exactly like Chiaki and Maron, only better drawn. I love her stuff, but after the first two series the characters and their major plot twists all seem eerily familiar.
