Peacemaker ep 3 has been out for a while, I haven't watched it yet. Sailormoon Live Action has been subbed to ep 3, but I haven't watched that either. I haven't watched anything. Steve's been running a D&D game online, therefore when I get home every night the computer is not at my disposal. Sorry I haven't spoken with all of you in a couple of days, this was, and will still be why. The temporary computer withdrawal is probably a good thing so that way my wrists and arms can heal a little. It cold and rainy so they're really aching.
It's going to be one of those days. It just occured to me, now at 7:30 am... that since it's Wednesday, my late day, I don't have to be up for another 3 hours... it's a good thing I figured this out before I went out into the downpour, though it would have been much better if I had noticed before I went to bed. Argh.
Remember how I said I escaped acrobatics class uninjured yesterday? Well, turns out I was wrong. I am typing this solely with my left hand (feeling the carpal tunnel to boot) while my right arm is nigh incapacitated. I did something subtle and funky to my elbow when I twisted it weirdly when collapsing out of a bridge. Didn't hurt yesterday but now.... and it's got carpal tunnel too. I swear, I bandage myself up enough as it is for dance class. I should just be a mummy for Halloween.
Erg. Time to go take a shower and not move for several hours while I try to will away the pain.
A recent pal of mine started up a new D&D campaign. I am playing a druid with a porcupine animal companion. She wears a big red bow. I am trying to convince my DM that others be required to save vs. cuteness when encountering the little fuzzball. I think if press him just a bit more he will concede.
Acrobatics went well this week. I didn't take a hard fall like last time; I emerged uninjured! Now I've just got to learn how to effectively put the 'spring' in 'handspring.'
Fruits Basket chapter 83 -- and here I joked about Furuba being a psych 101 textbook come to life... Freud would have had a field day. Oh, Oedipus, I think I'm slightly squicked.
Be-boy yaoi titles in English. I wonder how long it will be before the news relays a story about parents who are scandalized by what their dear daughters bought in the bookstore. *amused*
Ah, it's finally Thursday which means I can sleep in tomorrow morning. Sleep good. Sleep needed. Sleeeeeep. In fact, I should go to bed right now and fully take advantage of the 24 hours left before I have to leave the house again, but I won't because the Naruto manga calls to me. I'm only up to chapter 105.
I went to a retinal specialist last week to see about the possible future need to glue my eyes back together. I don't know what kind of weird eye drops he gave me, but they were brutal. I had to sign a paper that warned me that they were going to blur my vision, and boy, they weren't kidding. Pupil dilation is bad enough, but everything had a severe motion blur even when I was sitting still. Not good for the girl who gets motion sick (dizziness, not the other kind). My appointment was at 8:00am in the middle of some strange part of Brooklyn. It was not fun trying to navigate home from an unknown place when I couldn't see a thing since the motion blurring didn't wear off until 5 that evening. They should never have let me leave that building on my own. I could have ended up in Canada for all I knew about what direction I was going. I'm surprised I didn't kill myself. (You know, now that I think about it, I think I say something like this every time I leave an eye doc's office, however, this time it was exponentially worse.)
And Saizou, the attack pig from the new anime Peacemaker Kurogane -- cutest thing ever. Q promised to bring a plushie of him for me if she sees one at Yaoicon.
I once commented that the GetBackers anime, being SO painfully slashy, must have had some fangirls on the animation staff. Turns out that's not even it. Q directed me over to the Aestheticism review of the manga which was quite enlightening! The artist is apparently a yaoi mark, evidenced in the free talks. This explains a lot. Really. Now to see those free talks for myself. Luckily, the English version of the manga is already in the works.
And you know you have been influenced by fandom when you use words like "sparkly" to modify words like "obsession." I love that kind of wording.
I'm extremely sore from my dance classes this weekend. On Friday, in acrobatics, I graduated to being spotted by the rope for my walkovers. (Walkovers are going into a handstand and flipping over into a bridge.) And after one or two of those I attempted it with no spotting at all. *is happy* I think that's decent progress for my fourth class ^^. On Saturday, in addition to the truck-load of classes I take to begin with, I spent a fair amount of time in the 'look what I learned in school!' mode. I should note that for each successful walkover I splatted unceremoniously on my back twice ^^;; But hey, practice makes perfect.
I was watching episode 36 of Naruto when there was a split second frame of animation that just screamed "make me an icon!" It pleaded, it begged, it offered up goats as sacrifices, so who was I to argue? After a long struggle to figure out how to cap from an .avi file, this icon was born:
This evening I saw a commercial for some cable show, I don't remember what it was called; but as is the case with advertising really bad television, it spouted this classic line: "Critics say that [said show] is 'as brilliant as anything on TV.'"
I have been entertaining the idea of switching to LiveJournal. If I do, it wouldn't be for a while yet. My blog has abandonment issues. It's very jealous and does not like having my affections and attentions divided. I'm going to post to both for a while, though I know it won't last. One will be spurned in the end. Whichever it is, I hope it doesn't take the break up too badly.
On an unrelated note - BL drama CDs are so much more effective when they eschew the cheesy pr0n music. It only detracts from the seiyuu and their moaning/grunting/whining/slurping/whathaveyou and sends me into fits of giggles. And while unwilling ukes are fun and all, if someone could recommend a title of a drama CD with a flirty uke I would be much obliged.

My browser is convinced that Google doesn't exist. This is highly suspicious, and I don't mean acorns. I assume, since I've asked many of you, that almost everyone else can still access Google just fine. I don't even get a regular error page - I get this weird cPanel page I've never seen before that says that there is no page at that address. Is this some sort of anti-google virus, or what?
And if anyone has Naruto on Streamload, I'm missing episode 28, and 33+ (hint hint acct: BrainSt0rm)
I was internetless last night. Our DSL connection seems to eat itself from time to time. We haven't yet figured out why and the problem is only rectified by reinstalling the software.
I'm been busy busy busy. Most of my free time is spent dancing, tutoring, or traveling to and from both. I want to see my paycheck from doing all that calculus!
Suspicious Acorns had a major update a couple of days ago. Blogger was on crack and I couldn't post about it.
The Menthol Condom Clique has finally opened its doors. I thought it was an adorable idea when they first joked about it, and now here's my own Gouhou Drug menthol condom:
And finally, this is the best news I have heard all week.
